Step into the World of the Dala Horse
Welcome to a guided tour in the village of Nusnäs, where Dala horses have been handcrafted for generations.
At Nils Olsson Dalahästar, you will get a unique insight into the entire manufacturing process — from a raw piece of wood to a fully painted masterpiece. Experience the scent of freshly cut wood and watch skilled artisans shape and decorate each horse by hand.
Be inspired by colorful traditions in a culturally historic setting. In an engaging and enjoyable way, the guide introduces the location, shares knowledge about the craft, and sparks curiosity to explore further on your own.
During peak season, we offer open guided tours for everyone. Outside of peak season, you are welcome to contact us with an enquiry for your group by email at info@nilsolsson.se.

In connection with the guided tour, you can try painting your own Dala horse — be creative and create your own masterpiece. Book on site. For bus groups, we recommend our do-it-yourself kits.
